Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in best robot cleaner vacuums. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and best Robot vacuum mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other best robot hoover vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home, identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every three months.

If you're a busy professional or just want a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan that it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to shield certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect some of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was beginning or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app cannot store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
